About the Hosts
Michael Lee Pope, CO-HOST
Michael Lee Pope (He/Him) is an award-winning journalist who lives in Old Town Alexandria. He has reported for NPR, Northern Virginia Magazine and the Alexandria Gazette Packet. A native of Moultrie, Ga., Pope was raised in Durham, N.C., and went to high school in Tampa, Fl.
Pope has a master’s degree in American Studies from Florida State University, and is married to Hope Nelson. He is the author of four books.
Thomas Bowman, CO-HOST
Thomas Bowman (He/Him) is a partner with Resolute Strategies Group, a full service strategy and PR firm operating in Richmond, VA. He has over a decade of experience in Virginia Democratic politics, serving in various roles.
A native of Centreville, VA , Bowman attended the University of Mary Washington and lives in Richmond with his dogs, Albert and Clyde, and wife Rachel, a PhD candidate at VCU.
